Burnham’s shot lifts Knights; Titans win for 9-0 TRAC mark

AW’s Fox, Genoa’s Rightnowar score 30 points in victories

St. Francis 53, Clay 52

Freshman John Burnham hit three 3-pointers Friday night — including the game-winner with three seconds left — to lift the visiting Knights to a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball victory.

Dontay Ellison finished with 21 points to lead St. Francis (4-10, 2-7 TRAC), which trailed 23-17 at halftime and 33-32 after the third quarter.

Anthony Ramirez scored 17 points for Clay (2-13, 0-9). Pat Booth added 14 and Andrew McCrory 12.

St. John’s 78, Whitmer 48

The Titans (13-3, 9-0 TRAC) were overwhelming behind the scoring of Gabe Kynard with 16, Anthony Glover with 15 and Parker Ernsthausen with 12.

The Panthers (5-9, 4-5) were led by Sam Hickey with 10 points.

Findlay 58, Fremont Ross 36

FINDLAY — Austin Gutting led Findlay (12-3, 7-2 TRAC) with 22 points.

Jack Gedeon’s 13 points paced the Little Giants (8-6, 3-5).

Toledo Christian 57, Cardinal Stritch 49

The Eagles outscored Cardinal Stritch 32-25 in the second half to hold on for a home win.

Kyle Kempton led Toledo Christian (8-6, 5-2 TAAC) with 15 points. Garshawn Paynther added 12 and Matthew Brumbaugh and Jordan Adesi scored 10 each. TC led just 25-24 at halftime.

Austin Adams paced the Cardinals (5-7, 4-4) with 18, Austin Pratt had 11 and Jacob Empie scored 10.

Anthony Wayne 56, Northview 31

Matt Fox made all six of his team's 3-pointers en route to 30 points for the host Generals.

Anthony Wayne (8-4, 6-3 NLL) also got 11 points from Jake Reid, and 10 from Jamar Allen. The Generals used a 19-8 second quarter to turn a close game into a 31-17 halftime edge.

The Wildcats (4-10, 3-6) were topped by 10 points from Aerin West.

Genoa 76, Woodmore 69

GENOA — Luke Rightnowar poured in 30 points for the Comets, including 14 free throws.

Casey Gose added 22 points for Genoa (7-7, 5-3 NBC) and Noah Goodrich scored 11.

Phil Thorbahn paced Woodmore (2-12, 2-6) with 17 points, Grant Weis added 12 and Jake Matwiesczyk and Ryan Avers had 10 each.

Ann Arbor Huron 59, Bedford 49

ANN ARBOR — Brian Walker had 21 points for Ann Arbor Huron. Antonio Henry added 11.

The game was tied at 30 at halftime, but Huron had a 29-19 edge in the second half.

Jeremy Harris tallied 14 points for Bedford (4-5). Adam Swisher added 13.

Ayersville 72, Holgate 49

AYERSVILLE — Trey Bauman poured in 21 points and Luke Lawson added 15 for the Pilots.

The Tigers (7-7) were led by Everett Klingshirn and Jacob Clark with 10.
