Cougars prevail in OT

Division I

Southview 49, Whitmer 43

Emily Westphal tallied 23 points as the Cougars (17-7) won in overtime Wednesday night in a Division I girls basketball sectional at Central Catholic.

Taryn Stanley added 13 for Southview.

Shy McCarver led the Panthers (15-7) with 16 points.

Northview 57, St. Ursula 29

At Central Catholic, the Wildcats (17-6) were paced by Maddie Cole and Kendall Jessing, who each had 11 points.

Megan Burns had 11 for the Arrows (3-20).

Clay 60, Mansfield Senior 52

FOSTORIA — Megan Connor scored 22 for the Eagles. Samantha Enck added 15.

Jeryn Reese topped Mansfield with 19 points.

Perrysburg 67, Marion Harding 24

FOSTORIA — The Yellow Jackets (20-3) got 17 points from Allex Brown and 16 from Sarah Baer.

Olivia Davis topped the Presidents with 10 points.

Division III

Delta 49, Tinora 41

DEFIANCE — Brigan Wymer scored 27 points to lead the Panthers.

Ashley Mack led the Rams with 15.

Archbold 74, Liberty Center 39

DEFIANCE — Cassidy Wyse led the Blue Streaks with 22 points. Jesse Fidler added 14.

Andrea Weirauch paced the Tigers with 20. Niki Meyer had 13.

Division IV

McComb 57, Patrick Henry 54

OTTAWA — Emily Clymer and Jenna Herr each scored 18 points for McComb. Brenna Dee had 10.

Kristin Bostelman’s 15 led Patrick Henry, while Bailey Brown chipped in with 10.

Cardinal Stritch 39, Lakota 32

GENOA — The Cardinals (10-13) got 12 points from CeCe Gozdowski.

The Raiders (4-17) were paced by 12 from Katie Park.
