    Defending champion Perrysburg will be led by senior pitchers Mark Delas and A.J. Stockwell, making the Yellow Jackets the preseason pick to repeat. Southview is picked to finish a close second, followed by Springfield and Anthony Wayne in the NLL coaches poll. READ MORE.

    Start baseball looks to defend City League title

    Start finally struck it rich a year ago after three straight seasons of losing in the City League championship. The fourth season brought forth a CL title after the Spartans topped Bowsher in the title game. The long-awaited breakthrough — Start hadn’t won a City League championship since 1998 — has the Spartans in position to try and defend their title. READ MORE.

    Lake baseball expected to win NBC

    Lake (15-10, 9-4) has eight starters back from a team that finished tied for second. The Flyers are led by senior pitcher Jayce Vancena, who will play at the University of Michigan. For those reasons Lake, which won the previous two league titles, is the preseason favorite to win the NBC with five first-place votes. READ MORE.

    Cardinal Stritch baseball tabbed to win TAAC

    Cardinal Stritch (12-13, 10-2 TAAC) and third-year coach Craig Meinzer picked up only two of the seven first-place votes in a preseason poll of conference coaches.But the Cardinals topped Ottawa Hills 42-37 in total voting points to be targeted as the projected champion. READ MORE.
