Girls Basketball: Rossford, Notre Dame hang on late in victories

Deanna Utley scored 14 points to lead host Rossford to a girls basketball victory on Saturday night.

Haliegh Peters contributed 10 points for the Bulldogs (5- 8), who led 32-31 after three.

Logan Love paced Bowsher with 14 points.

NOTRE DAME 40, KETTERING FAIRMONT 37

BERLIN, Ohio — Jala Johnson scored 17 points to help improve the Eagles’ record to 11-3. Notre Dame led 34-19 with eight minutes left before holding off a furious rally.

Madison Bartley and Mali Morgan-Elliott both scored 11 points for the Firebirds.

MAUMEE VALLEY 35, EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 30

Shannon Herrmann scored 12 points in leading the visiting Hawks (7-7, 7-2 TAAC).

Olivia Pollock led the Warriors (3-9, 2-7) with 14 points.

CARDINAL STRITCH 52, OTTAWA HILLS 36

Erika Berg scored 18 points, Courtney Hardy 16, and Taylor Besgrove 13 for the host Cardinals (4-8, 4-5 TAAC).

Zara Ahmed and Ellie Westmeyer both scored nine for the Green Bears (3-4, 3-7).

LIMA — Chandler Clark scored 15 points, Lindsay Singhaus 14, Jaidyn Hale 13, and Bette Andrews for Lima Bath.

Maddie Mattimore scored 17 points and Abbie Freeman 13 for Delta.

PORT CLINTON 44, VERMILION 43

VERMILION — Delayna Laurel scored 12 points for the visiting Redskins, who led 21-13 after one quarter.

Maddie Colahan and Cece Dillon scored 12 points each for Vermilion, and Skyler Myers contributed 11.

OAK HARBOR 64, HURON 29

OAK HARBOR — Logan Harris scored 29 points to lead the host Rockets (11-3) to a nonleague win. Sophia Eli added 10 as they led 33-12 at the half.

Hayden Petee scored 19 for Huron (0-13).
