LIMA — Northview junior Megan Miller cruised to a Division I singles championship, never dropping more than a game in any set in her four matches at the district tennis tournament.

Miller topped Norwalk senior Aubrey Cook 6-1, 6-1 in the final at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Both move on to the state tournament.

The Division I doubles championship match was an all Notre Dame contest with freshman Alicia Nahhas and sophomore Teagan McNamara defeating senior teammates Lindsay Clark and Kerigan McNamara 6-3, 6-1. Both also move on to the state tournament.

Oak Harbor senior Ashley LaFountain took the Division II singles championship, knocking off Emily Ruhe of Lima Bath 6-0, 6-3 in the final.

LaFountain moves on to another state tournament after a district runner-up finish last year.

In the consolation match, Maumee Valley junior Rochell Issa defeated Courtney Ahmed of Lexington 6-2, 6-4 to qualify for the state tournament.

In the Division II doubles championship, the Lexington duo of Nicole Dragos and Alex Griebling knocked off teammates Elise Betscher and Jillian Earnest 7-6, 7-6.

Joining those two teams at state will be the Ottawa Hills team of Shivani Bhatt, a senior, and Lilli Boice, a freshman, who defeated Amanda Cahill and Alexis Weber of Clyde 7-6, 7-6 in the consolation match.
