SANDUSKY — Port Clinton senior Jon Brown scored two goals but the Redskins fell 5-2 to Bay Village Bay in a regional semifinal last night at Sandusky Perkins High School.
The Rockets jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Port Clinton early in the second half of a Division II regional semi.
Brown scored his first goal late in the first half. He tied it nine minutes into the second half.
Bay Village was awarded a penalty kick in the box and scored to take the lead for good.
Redskins senior goalie Kalib Shiets made a number of tremendous saves, according to Port Clinton coach Francisco Romero. He said the penalty kick was the turning point. Port Clinton (18-2-0) finished the season ranked 10th in the state poll.
Ninth-ranked Bay Village (13-4-4) advances to face Ottawa-Glandorf on Saturday.
