Perrysburg girls soccer playoffs prompt change of high school football playoff game
11/5/2012The football playoff game between Delphos St. John's and Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic will be played Friday at Doyt Perry Stadium on the Bowling Green State University campus.
Perrysburg High School had been scheduled to host the game at its Steinecker Stadium, but its girls soccer team is advancing in its tournament and may have a game as well Friday. The girls team plays Tuesday in Sandusky against defending state champion Strongsville, and if it wins, would play for the state title on Friday.
The athletic department and boosters wanted to follow the Perrysburg soccer team and did not think they could handle both events, according to Ann Sinclair, a secretary in the department.
