Rogers slips by visiting Southview; Swanton, Central Catholic, Maumee all win

Rogers 72, Southview 52

Tony Kynard poured in 20 points to lead Rogers to a boys basketball home win on Saturday night.

Clemmye Owens added 19 points for the Rams (3-1) and Keandre Gilmer chipped in with 10.

Jeremiah Roberts scored 21 points to pace Southview (0-4) and Brandon Stewart added 10.

Swanton 64, Northwood 34

SWANTON — The Bulldogs used a balanced attack to secure the win.

Rocky Robinson led the way for Swanton (1-3) with 14 points. Paul Kennedy scored 12 points, and Dalton Thatcher and Dylan Verdell added 10 points each.

Mike Autman led Northwood (1-3) with nine points.

Central 45, Scott 28

The Irish won at Scott as Keith Towbridge scored 16 points. Deante Cole added 11 for Central.

Bryson Collins paced the Bulldogs with 11 points.

Maumee 80, Bowsher 72

Host Maumee remained unbeaten (4-0) behind the scoring of Sean McGovern (20), Jason Wanamaker (19), Sam Kamer (18), and Dominique King (15). The Rebels (5-1) were paced by Nate Allen with 23, Dajuan King with 18 and Aundre Kizer who had 11.

Otsego 46, Delta 41

TONTOGANY — Otsego outscored Delta 12-7 in the final quarter to secure a home win.

John Thomas led the way for the Knights with 14 points, while A.C. Limes pitched in with 11 points.

Scott Garlinger paced Delta with 14 points.

Springfield 74, Eastwood 46

PEMBERVILLE — The Blue Devils took command with a 24-6 first quarter lead to take the road win.

Markese Hicks scored 19 points, Curtis Hassell 13, Chad Roy 12, and Marquan Hodges 11 for the winners.

Jake Schmeltz led Eastwood with 20 points, followed by Steven Bradley’s 10

Napoleon 63, Wauseon 40

WAUSEON — The Wildcats hit 16 3-pointers to overwhelm the Indians. Blake Dunbar had 19 points (five 3-pointers) and Jordan Lauf 17 (four 3-pointers) for Napoleon. Noah Castle had 16 for Wauseon.

Fayette 35, Fairview 17

FAYETTE — Zayne Colegrove scored a game-high 13 points, and the Eagles’ defense did the rest in a home victory.

Daniel Smith scored six points to lead Fairview, which was outscored 19-7 after halftime.

Elmwood 57, Gibsonburg 45

GIBSONBURG — Zach Foster poured in 30 points for the Royals (4-1). Andrew Cantrell had 13 and Matt Tille 11 for the Golden Bears (0-4).

Maumee Valley 71, Arcadia 35

ARCADIA — Davey Brown scored all 22 of his points in the first half and Maumee Valley cruised to a road win. Casey Mock led Arcadia (0-5) with 15 points.
