Bobcats top Generals; Cougars smack Devils

Bowling Green 66, Anthony Wayne 51

The Bobcats overcame a 12-2 deficit after the first quarter to secure a road win Friday night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball.

Bowling Green outscored Anthony Wayne 26-13 in the fourth quarter.

Haley Glandorff led the Bobcats with 25 points, while Chelsey Morlock added 15 points.

Sara Zankl paced Anthony Wayne with 11 points.

Southview 54, Springfield 33

Sarah Klepzig poured in 19 points to lead Southview (9-2, 7-1 NLL) to a home win.

The Cougars led 19-10 after first quarter and stretched it to 33-20 at halftime.

Natalie Yoder and Asia Goodwin scored 11 points each to pace Springfield (6-6, 2-6).

Napoleon 51, Maumee 29

Napoleon controlled the game from the beginning and cruised to a road win.

Kayla Gerken paced the Wildcats (2-9) with 20 points and Courtney Smith and Lindsay Ferguson added 11 points each.

Kalena Harris led Maumee (0-10) with seven points.

Gibsonburg slips by Green Bears in overtime

Gibsonburg 48, Ottawa Hills 45

Ottawa Hills missed a potential game-winning shot as time expired in regulation and Gibsonburg outscored the Green Bears 11-8 in overtime to secure a road win Friday night in Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls basketball.

Danielle Fork scored 14 points, including four of Gibsonburg's 11 points in overtime. The Golden Bears are 5-6, 3-2 in the TAAC.

Allie Dewire led Ottawa Hills (5-5, 3-2) with 16 points.

Toledo Christian 58, Emmanuel Christian 32

The Eagles (8-2, 5-0) rolled behind Faith Johnson who netted six three’s. among her 20 points. Darian Westmeyer added 12 and Lydia Yeager 10 for TC.

For the Warriors (3-4, 2-3) Mackenzie McCauley led with 12.

Danbury 43, Maumee Valley 25

Danbury won on the road, breaking open a close game with a 14-5 third-quarter advantage.

Erin Lavelle, Alyssa Almendinger and Stephanie Kukay each scored eight points to lead the Lakers (4-4, 4-0).

Kennedie Jackson led the Hawks with 10 points.

Cardinal Stritch 51, Northwood 33

Cardinal Stritch outscored Northwood 30-14 in the second half at home.

Abby Mass led the Cardinals (5-6, 3-3) with 18 points and Cecelia Gozdowski added 16.

Alex Rable scored nine points to pace Northwood (0-9, 0-5).

Pettisville 52, Hilltop 52

WEST UNITY — Dana Fricke led the Blackbirds with 19 points, while Mikala Avina added 15 Friday night in girls basketball.

Jackie Smith scored 14 points to lead Hilltop. Emily Armbruster had 12 and Hannah Bleikamp 11

Fayette 49, North Central 38

PIONEER — Taylor Griffiths pumped in 18 points to lead the Eagles (7-2). Alexis Fruchey added 10.

Shaylee Oyer had 11 points, while Bralyn Wyrick added 10 for North Central.

Montpelier 67, Monclova Christian 17

MONTPELIER — Lauren Dye scored 20 points and Hannah Blake added 18 points to lead Montpelier.

Rachel Keiser paced Monclova Christian with six points.
