Southview tops Napoleon; Anthony Wayne rolls over Maumee

NORTHERN LAKES LEAGUE

Perrysburg 86, Bowling Green 41

Sarah Baer led host Yellow Jackets with 16 points Friday night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball.

Katie Dunphy, Maddy Perry, and Allex Brown each scored 14 for Perrysburg (13-0, 10-0 NLL).

Haley Glandorff, Livvy Dill and Reagan Morman each scored eight points to pace Bowling Green (9-6, 5-5).


Southview 47, Napoleon 39

The host Cougars’ press forced six third-quarter turnovers and sparked a 10-0 run to take command .

Sarah Klepzig led Southview (11-4, 8-2 NLL) with 14 points. Emily Westphal added 11 and Taryn Stanley 10.

Napoleon (3-11, 2-8), which led 23-19 at halftime, got 18 points from Kayla Gerken.


Anthony Wayne 64, Maumee 35

The Generals outscored Maumee 28-5 in the first quarter and cruised at home.

Sara Zankl led the way for Anthony Wayne (11-4, 7-3) with 14 points, while McKenzie Krieg added 11.

Kalena Harris paced Maumee (0-13, 0-10) with 14 points and Joeal Olman chipped in with 13.

 

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN

Bedford 27, Monroe 23

MONROE, Mich. — Bedford led 17-11 at halftime and hung on to win despite being outscored 9-6 in the final quarter Friday night in Southeastern Conference girls basketball.

Rachel Lewandowski paced Bedford (9-3) with 11 points.

Demi Hampton scored eight points to lead Monroe (4-6).

Monclova Christian 34, First Baptist Christian 29

Monclova Christian trailed 17-14 at halftime, but came back for a home win.

Jessie Holtzsher scored 16 points to lead the Thunder, while Elizabeth Keiser added 10 points.

Julia Odle led First Baptist with 14 points.
