Bobcats top Cougars in OT; Springfield turns back Perrysburg during extra period

Bowling Green 75, Southview 71

Vitto Brown scored six of Bowling Green's 10 points in overtime, and the Bobcats held on to win the Northern Lakes League boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Southview’s Matt Morrison hit one free throw with nine seconds left in regulation, and Bowling Green (7-8, 5-3 NLL) missed a shot at the buzzer.

Brown finished with 32 points, while Andrew Herringshaw scored 21 points on seven 3-pointers. Lamonta Stone added 10.

Brandon Stewart paced Southview (3-11, 1-7) with 18 points, Morrison added 17, and Jeremiah Roberts 14.

Springfield 45, Perrysburg 42

Balanced scoring allowed the Blue Devils (9-4, 5-3 NLL) to come away with the overtime win at Perrysburg.

Marquan Hodges paced the Devils with nine points, with Chad Roy, Curtis Hassell and Dilyn Good each scoring eight.

Nick Moschetti’s 16 points topped the Yellow Jackets (9-4, 6-2) with Shane Edwards contributing 11.

Northview 61, Maumee 55

The Wildcats controlled the fourth quarter 25-15, making free throws down the stretch to seal a NLL win in Maumee.

Aerin West scored a game-high 19 points for Northview (5-6, 2-6 NLL), which trailed 40-36 through three. Connor Hartnett added 14 points and Mark Bernsdorfs 10.

Jason Wanamaker scored 18 points to lead Maumee (10-4, 4-4). Zack Cliff and Sam Kamer both added 12.

Anthony Wayne 44, Napoleon 37

NAPOLEON — Matt Fox scored eight of his 10 points at the free-throw line as the Generals (11-2, 7-1 NLL) won.

Jordan Lauf poured in 20 points and Anson Lankenau added 11 points for Napoleon (4-7, 1-7).

Fremont Ross 56, Clay 48

FREMONT — Jack Gedeon (14 points) and Tyler Wolf (10) led a balanced attack as the Little Giants won in Three Rivers Athletic Conference play.

Nine different players scored for Fremont Ross (8-5, 4-4 TRAC), which led 26-23 at halftime and got some separation in the fourth.

Jack Nagy scored 19 to lead Clay (0-12, 0-8). Patricc Booth had 18.

Swanton 50, Hilltop 37

SWANTON — The Bulldogs led 28-12 at the half and held on. Paul Kennedy and Rocky Robinson scored 14 points each to lead Swanton (3-10).

Erik Stite led Hilltop with 12.

Bowsher 93, Cardinal Stritch 71

Nate Allen poured in 31 a season-high 31 points for the host Rebels (12-3). Dajuan King had 17, Aundre Kizer, and Ivan Thomas 10 for Bowsher (12-3).

Joey Cousino scored 25 and Austin Adams 16 for the Cardinals (8-5).

Whiteford 69, Morenci 62

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. — Troy Diller scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Bobcats. Colin Lake added 22 points for Whiteford (8-3).

Bobby Black led Morenci with 19 points, while Elijah Wolf added 11 points.

Fayette 50, Waldron 34

FAYETTE — Chandler Sanford scored 14 to lead the Eagles (10-3).

For Waldron (6-3), Levi Long and Landon Fellows each had nine.

Gibsonburg 54, Maumee Valley 45

Jordan Kreglow scored 12 points and Andrew Cantrell added 10 as the visiting Golden Bears (6-8, 4-3) won in Toledo Area Athletic Conference play.

Davey Brown paced Maumee Valley (8-5, 4-4) with 29 points.

Defiance 51, Archbold 45

ARCHBOLD — The Bulldogs (8-5) were led by Jordan Tobias with 15, and Trey Guilliam and Katwan Singleton added 10.

Tyson Dietrich scored 15 and Zeb Frank 11 for the Blue Streaks (11-3).
