Findlay’s Gutting scores 30 points; Liberty Center knocks off Fayette

Springfield 57, Wauseon 53

Markese Hicks scored 14 points as the host Blue Devils prevailed in overtime Saturday night in boys basketball.

Curtis Hassell and Dilyn Good each added 13 for Springfield (12-5).

Collin Bzovi poured in 31 for the Indians (9-8) and Michael Hammons chipped in 11.

Wauseon used a 17-8 advantage in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Maumee 61, Woodward 33

Jason Wanamaker tallied 17 points and Sean McGovern and Dominique King added 15 and 14, respectively, as the Panthers (12-5) rolled..

For the Polar Bears (2-15) Mike Kimble had nine.

Findlay 61, Cleveland East Tech 52

FINDLAY — Austin Gutting poured in 30 points to lead the Trojans.

Joseph Davidson added 15 for Findlay (9-7).

Johnell Free led East Tech (11-6) with 13 points, Kyauta Taylor scored 12 and Richard Wilson 10.

Otsego 66, Patrick Henry 36

TONTOGANY — The Knights used a 23-6 third-quarter advantage to pull away.

John Thomas scored 18 points for Otsego (16-1) and Jalen Myers had 14.

A.J. Wagner led Patrick Henry (1-14) with 10 points.

Bowling Green 77, Medina 61

BOWLING GREEN — Vitto Brown scored 39 points for the Bobcats and passed 1,000 points in his career.

Andrew Herringshaw added 18 points for Bowling Green (9-9).

Billy Geschke paced Medina (9-7) with 20 points.

Swanton 54,Emmanuel Christian 46

The Bulldogs scored the first 17 points and never trailed in their road win.

Rockey Robinson led Swanton (5-13) with 20 points, and Bryce McComb added 12.

Ryan Creech scored 17 points and Jason Regnier 12 for Emmanuel Christian (9-8).

Archbold 59, Tinora 37

ARCHBOLD—The Blue Streaks improve to 13-3 behind Tyson Dietrich’s 21 points. Tyson Schnitkey added 11.

For the Rams, Jacob Miller led with 10.

Ottawa-Glandorf 74,Napoleon 54

NAPOLEON — T. J. Metzger scored 19 points and Michael Rosebrock and Alex Westrick added with 14 and 10, respectively, for the Titans.

The Wildcats (5-10) were led by Michael Gilliland with 16 and Blake Dunbar with 14. Napoleon’s Jordan Lauf missed his second straight game because of an injury.

Liberty Center 40, Fayette 37

LIBERTY CENTER — The Tigers hit two late free-throws and Fayette missed a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Konnor Pohlman led Liberty Center with 11 points and Logan Meyer added 10.

Cole Burkholder paced Fayette with 18 points.
