Southview gets win over Clay; Dailey leads Rogers to victory; Gibsonburg prevails in overtime

Matt Morrison and Brandon Stewart each scored 19 points as the host Cougars won Saturday night in boys basketball.

Nate Hall 16 and Jeremiah Roberts 10 for Southview (6-13)

Pat Booth paced the Eagles with 28 points.

Rogers 71,Col. Bishop Hartley 51

COLUMBUS — Tribune Dailey scored 21 and had 10 rebounds for the Rams (13-6).

Clemmye Owens tallied 18 points and Tony Kynard added 15 for the Rams (13-6).

Chris Moxley had 17 and Jacob Matuska 14 for the Hawks (12-5).

Cleveland East Tech 81, Start 70

K.T. Taylor led visiting East Tech (14-4) with 23 points. Richard Wilson had 20 and Johwell Tree 19.

Scott Hicks had 23 points for Start (9-9), while Dion Ivery had 14 and Dexter Johnson 13.

Gibsonburg 73,Fremont St. Joseph 67

GIBSONBURG — The Golden Bears overcame a six-point deficit in the final quarter to force overtime, then won in the second OT with a 12-6 edges.

Gibsonburg's (9-10) Andrew Cantrell pumped in five 3-pointers and finished with a 20 points.

Jordan Kreglow added 14 points, Bryce Ernsthausen 12, and Andy Burmeister 11.

Connor Dudley led the Streaks (14-5) with 17 points, while Ryan Williams had 15, Hunter Harrison 13, and Jordan Sessler 11.

Evergreen 61, Fayette 40

METAMORA — Max Oswald and Cory Mossing each notched 14 points as the Vikings took an early lead and never looked back.

Matt Brighton added 13 points for Evergreen (15-4).

Cole Burkholder led Fayette (14-5) with eight points

Toledo Christian 78,Swanton 55

The Eagles (16-2) were led by Eric Cellier with 18 points.

Melvin Thomas had 14, Jesse White 11 and Josh Winzeler 10.

For the Bulldogs (5-16), Rocky Robinson tallied 20 and Paul Kennedy added 18.

Findlay 66, Lima Shawnee 61

FINDLAY—The Trojans (10-8) roll behind Austin Gutting 18 points.

Joseph Davidson had 16 and Adam Twining 15.

Brennan Gaffer scored 21 and Trey Brock added 15 for the Indians (2-17).

Elmwood 48, Wauseon 45

BLOOMDALE — The Royals took a 36-24 lead into the final quarter but had to hold on to the win.

Elmwood (12-6) was led by Michael Chapman with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.

Wauseon (10-9) got 20 points from Colin Bzovi and 10 from Michael Hammons.
