Rogers girls, boys look to defend their respective City League titles

Rogers girls and boys basketball teams enter the City League playoffs as No. 1 seeds as each looks to run the table in defense of their respective championships from 2012. It was the first titles for both.

In the girls playoffs, the Rams (17-3 overall, 10-0 CL) open the semifinals by facing Woodward (4-15, 3-7) at Scott at 6 p.m. Thursday. Waite (7-10, 6-4) and Start (11-9, 8-2) will play at 8 p.m.

The winners will meet for the championship Saturday at 3 p.m. at Waite.

In the boys playoffs, Rogers (13-6, 10-0) plays Start (9-9, 5-5) in a semifinal at Waite at 6 p.m. Bowsher (15-5, 7-3) takes on Scott (10-8, 6-4) at 8 p.m.

The winners will meet for the championship at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Waite.
