Gray leads Springfield past Maumee to NLL gymnastics title

Springfield edged out Maumee for the Northern Lakes League gymnastics title on Saturday.

The Blue Devils won the vault and the beam events, while the Panthers captured the uneven bars and the floor exercise. Springfield earned 136.0 points, while Maumee finished with 135.3.

Springfield junior Jacey Gray was the all-around champion. She won the vault with a score of 9.150, finished second in the bars (8.35), fourth on the balance beam, and fifth in floor exercise.

Northview's Megan Matrisciano was second overall. She placed first in both the bars (8.50) and floor exercise (9.175).

Hayley Allen of Maumee was third overall, placing third in both the vault (8.90) and floor (9.00). Her teammate, Brittany Archambeau, placed fourth overall.

Northview's Sydney Audet won the beam with a score of 9.00.

Northview finished third, followed by Southview and Perrysburg, which had won the title last year.
