NWOAL Football: Streaks, Tigers roll to wins

Archbold 41,Montpelier 21

MONTPELIER — Evan Wyse passed for three touchdowns and ran for three more for Archbold Friday night in a Northwest Ohio Athletic League game.

Wyse rushed 14 times for 78 yards and was 13 for 23 passing for 192 yards for the Blue Streaks (5-1, 3-1 NWOAL).

Wyse found Derek Walker on a 66-yard TD pass. He also threw TD passes to Seth Mayer (13 yards) and Benny Gomez (37 yards).

Keegan Hitzeman of Montpelier (1-5, 0-5) passed for 86 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 106 yards and a five-yard score.

Liberty Center 69,Swanton 27

LIBERTY CENTER — Anthony Righi rushed 22 times for 182 yards and scored on runs of 14, 1, 2, and 30 yards as the Tigers (4-2, 3-2 NWOAL) outgained Swanton 662-301 in total offense.

Henry Elling (20 carries, 145 yards) had scoring runs of two and one yard for Liberty Center.

The Bulldogs (1-5, 1-4) got two TDs each from Thomas Bryant (14 carries, 136 yards) and Matt Rainey. Bryant scored on a 41-yard pass from Bryce McComb and on an 80-yard run. Rainey scored on a 16-yard run and a 62-yard pass from McComb.

Patrick Henry-Delta suspended

DELTA — The Patrick Henry-Delta game was suspended by lightning with Patrick Henry leading 34-28 at halftime. The game will resume at 10 a.m. today.
