Patriots rally in 4th to defeat Blue Streaks

Patrick Henry 28, Archbold 21

ARCHBOLD — Toby Hernandez scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns Friday night as the Patriots rallied to win a Northwest Ohio Athletic League showdown.

Hernandez, who ran for 173 yards and three scores on 23 attempts, helped knot the score at 21 with a 49-yard run. His seven-yard carry provided the winning margin for PH (6-2, 6-1 NWOAL). Josh Peterson added 183 yards and a score on 20 carries for the Patriots.

Evan Wyse completed 24 of 38 passes for 356 yards, two touchdowns, and also ran for a score to lead Archbold (6-2, 4-2).

Wyse’s TD passes covered 76 yards to Jase Grosjean (five catches, 124 yards) and 33 yards to Lincoln Parsley (six catches, 89 yards).

PH racked up 449 yards total offense compared to Archbold’s 427.

 

Bryan 41, Liberty Center 14

BRYAN — Austin Schimmoeller completed 30 of 34 passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns in a runaway win for the Golden Bears (8-0, 6-0).

Schimmoeller found Sean Culler, Nate Rau and Daniel Pendergrast on touchdown passes and rushed in for a one-yard score.

Brock Minor rushed for touchdown runs of six and 20 yards.

Kaleb Pohlman scored both touchdowns for Liberty Center (5-3, 3-3) with a 10-yard score and one-yard score. Anthony Righi rushed for 152 yards on 34 carries in a losing effort.

 

Wauseon 59, Evergreen 7

METAMORA — Ty Suntkenran for 123 yards, passed for 103, and accounted for four touchdowns to lead the Indians (7-1, 5-1).

Suntken completed 7 of 19 passes and three touchdowns, covering 16 and 12 yards to Kris Boysel (five catches, 56 yards) and 10 yards to Noah Castle. He also ran for a score.

Axel Bueter ran 13 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns as he topped 1,000 yards for the season for Wauseon, which outgained Evergreen 471-107. Danny Hench returned a punt 27 yards for a score, and a Alec Bost added a 10-yard TD run.

Evergreen (0-8, 0-6) scored when Garrett Willeman threw a 15-yard TD pass to Nick Blue. Willeman ran 12 times for 47 yards.

 

Delta 65, Swanton 7

SWANTON — Ryan Patchin and Bailey Storeholder each ran for three touchdowns to lead the Panthers .

Patchin ran for 103 yards on eight carries, scoring on runs of 3, 47 and 1 yards, while Storeholder had 108 yards on three carries, TD runs of 15, 42 and 51 yards.

Jesse Beverly added 103 rushing yards on five carries as Delta (4-4, 2-4) ran for 425 yards.

Panthers quarterbck Noah Parsons completed 5 of 6 passes for 180 yards and two more scores, a 69-yard scoring strike to Dylan Nostrant and a 60-yard TD toss to Jeffry McQuillin.

Tom Bryant scored on a 41-yard TD run for the Bulldogs (2-6, 2-5).
