Argyle Forest is a new neighborhood off Tracy Road, close to Owens Community College, Crossroads shopping, and with easy access to highways for excursions farther afield.

Our featured home, 6612 Alexander Drive, is a delightful example of the houses in this neighborhood. A single story ranch home, it has been designed to appeal to those who are looking for a maintenance-free exterior, energy efficiency, and an open floor plan. Built by Romanko Development, the home has all this and more.

In addition, it is extremely affordable – with incentives available, you can have a house payment of less than 700 a month!

The exterior is a soft gray vinyl siding with white trim. Place a couple of chairs on the long front porch and enjoy chatting with the neighbors. A poured concrete drive and walkway lead to the home. The front door has a leaded glass insert, making it very welcoming, indeed.

Inside, the entry’s floor is covered in a slate-look vinyl for easy cleanup. The carpeted living room is ample for entertaining; plant shelves and wide windowsills offer visual interest to the room, as does the vaulted ceiling.

The living room opens to the dining room and kitchen.  The dining room is a lovely space, with plant ledges wired for lights or stereo speakers. A brushed nickel chandelier offers illumination, and nearby, a mullioned sliding door lets in plenty of sunlight.  It leads to a generous, poured concrete patio.

The dining room is open to the kitchen.  This efficient space includes cherry stained cabinets; the countertops are a deep green laminate with the appearance of solid-surface. A stainless steel range, hood, and dishwasher are included, as is a stainless ceiling fan. Two lazy Susans offer additional storage.

An arched doorway leads to the master suite, first passing a large linen closet and the laundry room, which has access to the two-car garage. The master bedroom is unique in that it boasts two walk-in closets. They are adjacent to the master bath, where a large vanity offers plenty of counterspace and drawers. A tall cabinet provides additional storage space.  The step-in shower has two seats.

Across the home, through another arched doorway, is the sleeping wing, with two additional bedrooms. Each has a double closet, and they share a full hall bath.

This home features a conditioned crawl space – heated to keep the floor warm in the winter. The home has been designed with energy efficiency in mind, and includes R-22 equivalent in the walls, a 95% efficient furnace, a 13 SEER air conditioner, and a programmable thermostat.

Romanko Development Company is a family-owned business, with the owners involved in every aspect of building these homes. Forty-five lots are still available in Argyle Forest. Because it is designated as rural by the USDA, 0% financing is available.

Additional floor plans are available, from those with basements to barrier-free homes for those with disabilities. Even existing homes can be added on to.
