Homes in Shadow Woods, a new neighborhood developed by builder Gary Grup, offer single story living at its most opulent. The homes include the finest of materials, with extra touches like tray ceilings, tile floor inlays, and more.

Our featured home, 1732 Deer Trail Drive, is no exception.

The exterior is a Euro-Tuscan style, with plaster and stone facing, an arched window with keystone, and tall, covered front porch. The walnut-stained front door is a

Craftsman style, topped by a mullioned transom.

The door opens to a 12-foot high stepped ceiling foyer.

The floor is a honed and chiseled travertine marble with a black galaxy inlay border — a beautiful welcome for your visitors. Ahead is an art niche, a lovely spot accented by crema Bordeaux granite and a diamond patterned tile.

To the right off the foyer is an arched entry to the sleeping wing, where two generous bedrooms are separated by a beautiful full bath.

This bathroom is a wonder, with ivory classic travertine marble on the floors and lining the interior of the shower.

The floor and step-in shower each feature a charcoal gray river rock inlay, bordered by black galaxy marble. A beautiful antique-look vanity is topped with emperador marble.

At the end of the foyer is the great room. An impressive gas fireplace is highlighted by crema Bordeaux granite — a one-of-a-kind treatment. A deep tray ceiling is bordered by crown molding, and an ornate ceiling fan provides a comfortable breeze. At the back of the room, a staircase leads to the partial basement. The staircase includes an oak railing with wrought iron balusters.

The kitchen and dining area are open to the great room.

The floor here is a beautiful hand-scraped hickory with a peppercorn stain. The dining area boasts its own tray ceiling, here with a striking oil rubbed bronze chandelier.

The kitchen’s cabinets, mocha maple with a coffee glaze, are a soft brown beneath the Blue Volga black granite countertops. Stainless steel appliances coordinate with the silver-blue flecks in the granite.

A hall at the back of the kitchen leads to a laundry room and a linen closet. The master suite is here as well, separate from the home’s secondary bedrooms.

Tall, eight-foot double doors open to the master suite. A tray ceiling here adds a note of luxury to the space. The master bath provides a spa-like experience. Dual cherry vanities — one with a makeup table — are topped with crema Bordeaux granite and sport oil rubbed bronze fixtures. The floor is an ivory classic honed and filled travertine marble with crema Bordeaux accents.

The surround of the jetted tub is also in the travertine marble, as is the interior of the step-in glass shower. A seat in the shower is topped with crema Bordeaux granite.

The master bath is completed by a private water closet and a large walk-in closet.

Off the master suite, through French doors, is a lovely four-season sunroom. Use this as a sitting room for the master suite, or for addition space for entertaining, as it is open to the great room.

Sliding doors lead from the sunroom to the large poured concrete patio. This home, with its many amenities, is perfect for entertaining, and the patio only enhances the possibilities.
