Long before the War Between the States, two states nearly went to war over a piece of property along the northern edge of Ohio. Although this has come to be known as the Toledo War, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to think they may have had Sylvania in mind as well.

With its charming downtown, good schools and lovely neighborhoods, Sylvania is a very popular place to live.

This week’s featured home is the Catalina model at 5341 Palisades Dr. in Sylvania.

The brick front includes attractive soldier coursing around the windows, and the covered front entrance keeps your visitors out of inclement weather. Surrounding the painted six-panel front door are beautiful etched glass sidelights and a clear transom. These windows allow plenty of light into your foyer, while maintaining your privacy.

The foyer is quite impressive. A large space, it is quite wide, with tall ceilings – a fitting entrance to this beautiful home.

A brushed nickel chandelier lights the dining area. The floor here and in the kitchen, as well as in the foyer, is a unique composite tile. It has the look and convenience of ceramic flooring, with a softer feel. A wall of windows allows light into the dining area, and a nearby door leads to the poured concrete patio.

A short hall leads off the kitchen. Here you will find a third bedroom, this one with a walk-in closet. The laundry room also boasts that beautiful maple cabinetry, as well as a sink and hookups for your washer and dryer. The door to the two-car garage is here as well.
