Sanctuary Meadows is a neighborhood still under construction, with homes rising up continually. There is no question that these homes are luxurious, built with comfort and style in mind.

Our featured home, 25643 Wood Creek Road, stands out here.

The front walkway is poured, stamped concrete, and leads to the impressive front porch, here pillars rise two stories. The exterior of the home is stone with composite and vinyl siding in a soft gray.

Inside, the foyer features beautiful, dark-stained hard-wood floors. The foyer rises to the second floor, with natural light coming through the sidelights that flank the front door and a large transom above. A chandelier offers additional illumination.

To the left, behind French doors, is the home office. Tall, coffered ceilings and large windows mark this as one of the most striking rooms in the home.

To the right of the foyer is the dining room. Tall wainscot-ing, arched entries and crown molding lend a formal air to this room. Adjacent to the dining room is a convenient butler’s pantry, boasting maple cabinets with a chocolate glaze and a granite countertop.

A door just past the office leads to the stairway to the basement. It is adjacent to the lovely staircase to the second story of the home.

Straight ahead is the great room. This large space is perfect for entertaining. A coved, cathedral ceiling rises two stories for dramatic effect. The back wall is anchored by a gas fireplace, with a large white wood mantel and tile surround. It should be noted here that the tile is glass, stone and ceramic, and coordinates beautifully with the nearby kitchen. The fireplace is flanked by large windows topped by attractive curved transoms.

Space for informal dining separates the great room and food prep areas of the kitchen. A sliding door leads to the poured concrete patio.

The kitchen is a gourmet’s dream, with miles of counter space. Maple cabinets with a chocolate glaze are topped by granite; upper cupboards are finished with crown molding. The tile floor looks like slate and makes for easy clean-up of spills. The kitchen’s backsplash is made of long glass and stone tiles.

A granite-topped island includes a snack bar and a glass-front cabinet on the endcap, perfect for displaying your best serving pieces or holiday dishes. The island is lit from above by amber pendant lights.

Appliances include a five-burner gas cooktop with a Euro-style range hood, and double wall convection ovens. A lighted pantry is ample for your foodstuffs.

A short hall off the kitchen acts as a mudroom, with built-in lockers for jackets and book-bags. A powder room and coat closet are nearby, as is the laundry room with its cabinets and a built-in table for folding and crafts. There is also access to the three car garage.

The stairs to the second floor, off the foyer, stop at a landing halfway up. This notable spot has brushed nickel sconces and a clever windowseat that opens to reveal a storage area.

The stairs continue to become a catwalk that acts as a balcony over both the foyer and the great room, affording perfect views of both.

The second floor features four bedrooms. The first two, to the left, each offer a tray ceiling and walk-in closet. Across the hall, a generously-proportioned room has a vaulted ceiling with fan, a double closet, and a private bath. This bathroom includes a step-in tiled shower with a seat, and a dark wood vanity with a granite top.

A hall bath has a dual vanity, also granite-topped, and a vaulted ceiling. A privacy door lets one person use the tub, shower, or commode while another freshens up at the sink.

The master suite is a private retreat from the world. A deep tray ceiling with fan sets this room apart.

The master bath is a showpiece, with a large dual vanity highlighted by rectangular sinks. The ceiling is vaulted and walls are topped by angular plant shelves. A large, step-in tiled shower has glass doors, and a deep Jacuzzi tub is nestled beneath a glass block window for light and privacy. A private water closet makes this an easy space for two to use.

At the far end of the master bath is one of the largest walk in closets noted in these pages. If a closet is indeed a selling point for a home, this property will not be available for long.
