If you’re considering building in this lovely neighbor-hood in Perrysburg, it’s decision time. The Village of Brookhaven is nearly sold out, with just 10 lots left.

Homes in this popular neighborhood are priced from $283,850 to $318,850, including the cost of the lot.

For this price, Saba Custom Homes includes many standard features for which other companies charge extra. Each Saba Home includes 2x6 exterior construc-tion, deluxe 7 1/4-inch base moldings, granite counter-tops in kitchens and baths, kitchen backsplashes and insulated, drywalled basements.

This week’s featured home is a fine example of the design and construction you can expect from Saba Custom Homes.

Located at 3265 Sterlingwood Lane, it is the Barrington floor plan. Clad in red brick and grey vinyl, the home rises two stories with elegant white pillars supporting the front porch overhang.

Inside, the soaring foyer features a lovely chandelier, visible through the large transom window above the front door. Porcelain tile flooring leads from the foyer to the kitchen and beyond.

To the right is the formal dining room, where a unique drum-style chandelier hangs over the dining table. A large window allows plentiful natural light.

Nearby is a guest closet; across from it is the stair-case to the basement.

Straight ahead is the great room with its lofty vaulted ceiling. A wall of windows overlooks the backyard, admitting abundant natural light. A gas fireplace with tile surround helps warm the space on chilly evenings. An oversized white wood mantle, complementing the wide, white baseboards, tops it.

Open to the great room is the gourmet kitchen. This is a cook’s dream, with plenty of counterspace, a large work island with snack bar, and a generous pantry. The cabinets are maple with a chocolate finish, topped with Santa Cecilia granite. A backsplash in glass and stone is a highlight of this space. Pendant lights shine down on the island, and stainless appliances are included.

One can enjoy informal dining in the kitchen, in view of sliding doors that lead to the patio.

Beyond the kitchen is a short hall opening to a mudroom area, with built-in lockers for storing backpacks and jackets. Access to the two and a half car garage is here, as are a coat closet, the laundry room, and a powder room.

Off the foyer, a staircase rises to the second floor, where four bedrooms are located. The first two each feature tray ceilings and double closets. The third, shown here as a little girl’s room, boasts a vaulted ceiling and a fanciful crystal chandelier. A double closet will hold her wardrobe.

These three bedrooms share a hall bath, which is home to a double vanity topped with black granite.

At the end of the hall is the master suite. A deep tray ceiling with fan adds an elegant air to the bedroom. Double doors open to the spa-like master bath, where a deep soaking tub is nestled beneath a glass block window, which admits natural light while ensuring privacy. A step-in shower is quite convenient, and a large walk-in closet has plenty of space for two. The vanity is maple, with a black granite top. A private water closet completes the space.

This well-built, comfortably equipped house is in a perfect location, near Perrysburg High School, Levis Commons, and with easy highway access to everywhere else. Ten home plans are available, or Saba will customize your floor plan.

In addition to the Village of Brookhaven, Saba Custom Homes builds in the neighborhoods of Eckel Trace, Winterbourne Station, Maple Creek, Walnut Springs, Sanctuary Meadows, and Crimson Hollow. This fall, the company will introduce the Villages at Canterbury, a 450-home site Perrysburg neighborhood with acres of green space, a clubhouse and neighborhood swimming pool.
