Pollsters, leave us voters alone

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

The Blade's Sept. 17 editorial cartoon hit the nail on the head. I am tired of political phone calls. I know who I'm going to vote for and why. I don't need others to tell me why I should vote for so-and-so. I am also angry that I can't opt out of these calls.

Have the politicians ever thought about how their phone calls might be waking up someone who works a midnight shift, if that person is lucky enough to have a job? What if the person they are calling is ill or taking care of someone who is ill? Do they realize what an intrusion that is?

If this election weren't so darned important, I wouldn't vote for either candidate for president. So to those who make those calls: Leave me alone.
