Black History Month provides me with the opportunity to reflect on my heroes and heroines, those who have made it possible for me to be me.
I appreciate what Carter Woodson did in providing such a month, for everyone to appreciate and remember the contributions African-Americans have made to America’s legacy.
This month provides for the admiration, strength, and list of accomplishments that I stand on, and encourages me to be a better person so that I can help others be proud and strong. These characteristics and our faith assist in moving our city forward.
This month injects steroids into my life and faith, so I can continue to help people who may be less fortunate than I am.
