To the editor: Jerusalem decision is a bad deal

President Trump is delusional in thinking that recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is no big deal.

Obviously it’s a big deal to all of the nations that have voiced concern over this unprecedented and peace-destroying move.

The Blade seems to think that by “keeping his promise,” Mr. Trump is somehow to be applauded as an honorable man (Dec. 10, “Jerusalem: A promise kept“). Please, nothing could be further from the truth.

Don’t forget about Trump and Moore

I found the Dec. 10 editorial, “Good riddance,” concerning Al Franken and John Conyers to be hypocritical.

The Blade applauds their removal from Congress, yet says nothing about the allegations against the current occupier of the White House or the accused child molester running for the Senate in Alabama.

If Mr. Conyers and Mr. Franken had to go, then Mr. Trump should also resign. And if Mr. Moore prevailed in Tuesday’s election, he should not be admitted to the Senate.

America will need to repair image

It will take the terms of two presidents to clean up the catastrophic amount of chaos and fear that Mr. Trump has spread in one year.
