Here s where to get a flu shot

Each Monday for the next several months, The Blade will list locations where flu shots are available from public agencies for the upcoming week, followed by contact information to reach others providing the vaccinations.

Here s a partial list of public agencies and health-related organizations providing shots this year. The Lucas County Health Department s clinics have concluded.

Cost of the vaccinations varies. See the phone numbers and Web sites after the listings for contact information.

Wood County

Today Wood County Health Department, 1840 East Gypsy Lane Rd., 1 -3 p.m.

Tomorrow Bradner American Legion, 209 West Crocker, Bradner, 9:30-11:30 a.m.; Wayne Fire Hall, 200 North Center St., Wayne, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Wednesday Wood County Health Department, 1840 West Gypsy Lane Rd., 1-3 p.m.

Thursday Rossford Community Recreation Building, 400 Dixie Hwy., Rossford, 10 a.m.-noon.

The injections cost $20 and the nasal spray is available for $35. Flu shots are available at the Health Department, 1840 Gypsy Lane Rd, Bowling Green, either as walk-ins or by appointment. Information: 419-352-8402.

Monroe County

The Monroe County Health Department will offer flu shots from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Shots also will be offered from 1 to 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

Fulton County

Today Evergreen Community Library, 253 Maple, noon-5:30 p.m.

Tomorrow Fulton County Health Department, 606 South Shoop Ave., 8:30-6:30 p.m. for adults and by appointment only; Fulton County Senior Center, 240 South Clinton St., Wauseon, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for senior citizens only.

Wednesday Swanton Municipal Building, 219 Chestnut St., 9 a.m. -noon and 1:30-5:30 p.m.

Thursday Fulton County Health Department, 606 South Shoop Ave., 8 a.m.-noon for adults and appointment only; and 2-6 p.m. for children only as walk-ins.

Also, beginning Friday and for every following Friday, shots will be provided during the health department s regularly scheduled nursing hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until the vaccine runs out. This is for adults and children and is on a walk-in basis.
