Dead bird tests positive for West Nile virus in Lenawee County

ADRIAN, Mich. A dead bird found in the Clayton zip code area has tested positive for West Nile virus, Lenawee County officials said.

The Lenawee County Health Department was notified of the fact on Aug. 1, according to the department.

As of Friday morning, there were no confirmed human cases of the mosquito-borne illness in the county, Paul Nelson, the environmental health director for the county, said.
