Small area hospitals get grants of $20,100 each

Ten small, rural hospitals in northwest Ohio are each receiving $20,100 in state and federal grants to support emergency medical services improvement, quality improvement, performance, and patient safety.

Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, H.B. Magruder Memorial Hospital in Port Clinton, Fostoria Community Hospital, and Mercy Willard Hospital are among 10 in northwest Ohio that are designated as critical access hospitals. Statewide, there are 32 critical access hospitals receiving the grants.

The federal and state grants are administered by the Ohio Hospital Association's Foundation for Healthy Communities.
