Walking path locations set in program to spur exercise

Several area locations are designated as walking paths for Wednesday's National Start! Walking Day, an American Heart Association effort to have people get started on a regular walking program.

Residents are urged to visit one of the designated path locations, some of which have events to mark National Start! Walking Day, Wednesday. Locations with events include:

•9 a.m., ProMedica Family Area in food court, Westfield Franklin Park, Toledo.

•Noon, parking lot, Maritz Research, 1740 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee.

•Noon, Second Sole Shop, 4130 Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg.

•Noon, ProMedica Family Area, Shops at Fallen Timbers, Maumee.

•5:30 p.m., Fallen Timbers trail, Sidecut Metropark, Maumee.

Other designated paths include the all-purpose trail at Oak Openings Preserve and the Toledo Area Metroparks' towpath trail.
