ProMedica on Thursday gave media tours of its 36-bed Wildwood Orthopedic and Spine Hospital, a $33 million project in Sylvania Township expected to open in October.

The hospital will be co-managed by 17 local orthopedic and spine surgeons. Joint replacements and other surgeries will be performed at the hospital, which will have six operating rooms.

The hospital on North Reynolds Road near Central Avenue is connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge to Wildwood Medical Center.
