Health Dept. schedules walk-in flu vaccinations
1/12/2013The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department is to hold walk-in flu vaccine clinics next week.
The department scheduled the walk-in clinics from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at its main office, 635 N. Erie St.
An adult flu vaccine costs $25; the cost for children depends on health insurance. Some insurance providers can be billed directly.
The clinics are in response to a rise in flu cases. In Ohio, 1,922 flu-related hospitalizations occurred through Jan. 5, and the Ohio Department of Health reported one flu-related pediatric death this flu season.
