Health talk topic at Way Public Library

Cardiologist targets diet, exercise, weight management, lifestyle

The Mercy health system will sponsor a program that focuses on heart health from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Way Public Library in Perrysburg.

Dr. Mohammed Alo, a cardiologist with Toledo Cardiology Consultants, will provide information about prevention and lifestyle changes that promote good heart health.

Free blood-pressure and cholesterol screening will also be offered.

The event is free and open to the public and reservations are not required.

At 2 p.m. Wednesday, Judy Pfaffenberger’s video travelogue will illustrate her travels across Europe, including Portugal, Spain, France, and the coast of Belgium.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m. Matt Donahue, a pop culture instructor at Bowling Green State University, will talk about the Hines Farm Blues Club in Swanton Township that hosted legendary musicians B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, and more.
