MedReturn receptacles placed in 4 communities

Green collection boxes resembling mailboxes have been placed in prominent locations for disposal of prescription and over-the-counter pills in Monclova Township, Waterville, and Whitehouse.

AWAKE, a drug-free community coalition group, provided the MedReturn receptacles, where unwanted pills may be dropped off during designated hours without observation or questioning. Gels and liquids are not accepted. The locations are:

■ Monclova Township Administrative Offices, 4335 Albon Rd., Monday, noon to 4 p.m., or Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

■ Waterville Police Department, 25 N. Second St., Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

■ Whitehouse Police Department, 6925 Providence St., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
