Erie race will benefit 2 with health issues

The second Race for Kids will be held Saturday, with a starting point at the Erie VFW, 1944 East Erie Rd., and will benefit two Erie girls with serious medical conditions.

Starting time for the 5k walk/​run is 9 a.m. The entry fee is $30 per person or $80 for a family with up to five members. The course winds through Erie. Registration starts at 8 a.m.

Proceeds will help pay medical costs incurred by Zoie Stubleski, 5, and Kelsie Cousino, 18 months. Zoie has an autoimmune deficiency and receives monthly life-saving treatment at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Kelsie, with a rare genetic disorder, has aneuryisms and will require reconstructive surgery of her pulmonary arteries at Boston Children’‍s Hospital.
