BLADE STAFF

The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio is hosting the Lace It, Face It walk in September.

Registration is open for the walk to be held on Sept. 6 in Olander Park, 6930 Sylvania Ave.

Walkers who register by Aug. 15 receive a goodie bag and event T-shirt. Registration is $20 per person; children under 10 are free.

The annual walk raises money and autism awareness. Each walker is encouraged to seek pledges in honor of loved ones with autism and to organize a walking team. Proceeds raised from the pledges and donations are used to provide services in northwest Ohio.

Groups will walk the 1.1 mile-path around Olander Park. People may register before the event at 8 a.m. Dogs are not allowed in the park.

The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio is affiliated with the national Autism Society of America and serves 12 counties in northwest Ohio. For more information and for registration and pledge forms visit asno.org.
