Racing for Recovery, an organization that offers a variety of substance abuse-related services for those in the Toledo area, including counseling, support groups, and assessments, is now streaming its Thursday night support group meetings.

Racing for Recovery’s founder Todd Crandell said he has been considering the idea for several years because of out-of-state interest in the organization. He said the streaming is also a good way for those in need of help to watch a support meeting or for family members of addicts to learn how others are handling their similar situation.

The live stream is every Thursday night, beginning at 7 p.m., at racingforrecovery.org or on the organization’s Facebook page. The first streamed meeting earlier this month had more than 700 views, Mr. Crandell said.
