HUDSON, Mich. - Residents have been advised to boil their drinking water, because tests showed the presence of coliform bacteria in the water supply.

People are being urged to boil the water for at least five minutes and to let it cool in a covered container.

The advisory will remain in effect until state officials conduct tests on the water. Hudson officials said they're seeking the source of contamination.
