Judge postpones hearing on mobile home park

ADRIAN - A Lenawee County Circuit Court judge postponed a hearing yesterday to determine whether a 46-acre site along West Dean Road in Bedford Township can be developed into a mobile home park by a Livonia developer.

Judge Harvey Koselka rescheduled yesterday's planned hearing until 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 because Phil Goldsmith, a Monroe attorney representing Bedford Township, was ill and could not attend the hearing to present oral arguments in the case.

The hearing stems from a 1995 settlement between Germano Management Co. of Livonia and Bedford Township of a 1993 case that determined the township could not deny a then-requested rezoning for an 11-acre addition to Germano's Inverness "Too" mobile home park.
