ADRIAN - A third man was arraigned yesterday in Lenawee County District Court in connection with the kidnapping and assault of an Adrian man last month.

Andra Lamar Williams, 32, is being held in Lenawee County jail under a $400,000 cash or surety bond after being arraigned on charges of kidnapping, assault with intent to murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. His preliminary exam was scheduled for Monday.

Also facing charges for the Dec. 21 incident is Maywonn Douglas-Mashon Andrews, 22, of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Eric Lee Cooper, 19, of Adrian. Both men also are lodged at the Lenawee County jail.

Adrian police began their investigation after finding the victim staggering barefoot along an east-side street in cold weather. The man, who was wearing only sweatpants, told police that the three suspects assaulted him at a drug house.
