ADRIAN - Three Adrian men, two of them brothers, will go on trial May 15 for the alleged break-in, robbery, and beating of two men in December.

Lenawee County Circuit Judge Timothy Pickard changed the date and denied motions yesterday by the defendants' lawyers to separate the cases for Charles Sanders, 32, Herbert Sanders, 31, and Charles Dukes, 25.

The three men are charged with first-degree home invasion, armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Dukes is facing other charges of delivery and manufacturing marijuana and extortion.

Adrian police said the three forced their way into a second-floor apartment on East Maumee Street, then beat and robbed two men.
