Jonesville schools select new superintendent

JONESVILLE, Mich. The Jonesville board of education has hired an elementary principal who will take over as superintendent of schools in the 1,400-student district on July 1.

Michael Potts, 37, worked 11 years in Manistee. He replaces Richard Paul, who retires June 30 after six years.

Mr. Potts will be paid $97,000 a year, and given a $300 a month vehicle allowance and a $2,000 annual tax-sheltered annuity. He was selected from a field of 38 applicants.
