Warrant issued for UM's Graham

DETROIT - A judge issued an arrest warrant for Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham for skipping his trial on a disorderly conduct charge involving loud music, court records say.

Detroit police gave the sophomore a disorderly conduct ticket July 24 for playing loud music in a vehicle, according to 36th District Court records. He pleaded not guilty Aug. 2 and was released on personal bond, according to published reports last night.

Graham did not appear for his scheduled trial Sept. 18, and a judge issued a warrant the next day, court records say.

Michigan sports information director Bruce Madej said that he had not heard of the case and had no immediate comment.

Graham made two tackles for a loss, recovered a fumble and forced a fumble that led to quarterback Ryan Mallett's rushing touchdown in the Wolverines' 14-9 win over Penn State on Saturday. Michigan hosts Northwestern this Saturday.
