ANN ARBOR Angela Tincher threw two complete-game 3-hitters for Virginia Tech, which beat No. 6 Michigan 1-0 and 6-1 in an NCAA Super Regional series to advance to its first College World Series.

The Hokies (49-17) were down 0-1 in the best-of-3 series after Michigan (52-8) won 1-0 Saturday.

But after striking out 15 in a 1-0 victory yesterday, Tincher got some offensive help in the nightcap.

Dorian Shaw provided the lone run for the Wolverines with a solo home run in the fifth inning.

But Tincher retired the next seven hitters.
