Michigan haven for animals to be discussion topic

7/11/2008

Animals that were abused, neglected, or just plain abandoned have found safe haven for more than 20 years at Sasha Farm in rural Washtenaw County near the community of Manchester, Mich.

Safe haven is even part of the name - Sasha stands for Sanctuary And Safe Haven for Animals.

Dorothy Davies, a founder of the farm, and Amanda Hitt, the full-time manager, discuss with Jack Lessenberry, host of the weekly television program Deadline Now and The Blade's ombudsman, the farm's mission of providing domestic and farm animals a safe environment for life.

Deadline Now will be broadcast at 8:30 tonight and at 2:30 a.m. tomorrow on WGTE-TV, Channel 30.
