UM's Rodriguez unhappy with officiating

ANN ARBOR - Charlie Weis isn't alone in his griping about the officiating in Saturday's game between Notre Dame and Michigan. Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez, speaking with reporters today, said there are a “handful” of plays he wants the Big Ten to review, although Rodriguez went on to compliment the officials.

“By and large they do a terrific job,” he said.

Weis said on a Sunday conference call that he disagreed with a ruling that ND running back Armando Allen stepped out of bounds, negating a touchdown in the first half of UM's 38-34 win. He also disputed a clock issue at the end of the game. Rodriguez didn't make any remarks that are clearly in violation of what the Big Ten deems unacceptable behavior, and because Notre Dame is Independent, Weis will not face penalty.

UM hosts Eastern Michigan on Saturday, while Notre Dame will see Big Ten officiating again when it plays Michigan State.
