ANN ARBOR --- Coach Rich Rodriguez said this week is “an important week to fix some things” defensively after University of Michigan struggled to stop Massachusetts' offense Saturday.

Rodriguez figures to be more active in defensive meetings this week as the Wolverines prepare for Bowling Green.

In other news, Rodriguez said quarterback Tate Forcier, who has not played this year, is not a candidate to redshirt.

In scheduling news, the Oct. 2 game at Indiana will begin at 3:30 p.m. and aired on ESPNU.
