ANN ARBOR -- The winning team in Saturday's spring football game at Michigan will eat steak for dinner. The losers get hot dogs and beans.

This is according to coach Brady Hoke, who on Wednesday afternoon held his final press conference leading up to Saturday's game at the Big House.

Hoke said the following injured players will not participate: Cornerbacks Troy Woolfolk and J.T. Floyd, offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, and linebacker Kenny Demens.

The format will not be that of a traditional football game. The first team offense will be teamed with the second team defense, while the first team defense will be paired with the second team offense. Scoring will be kept but Hoke did not elaborate on how points are earned.

On Friday night, about 300 former Michigan football players will be in town for a "team meeting" conducted by Hoke. Of that group, about 85 will participate in an alumni flag football game to be held prior to the noon spring game.

In other news, Hoke said Stephen Hopkins has emerged as the most consistent running back from a crowded group.
