Blue chip high school quarterback Zeke Pike committed to Auburn on Wednesday over a group of schools that included Michigan.The Wolverines were considered a finalist to land Pike, who is considered a five-star recruit and the nation's No. 3 quarterback by the recruiting Web site, Scout.com. Tennessee, Arkansas and Purdue were also in the mix.
At 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds, Pike, of Ft. Mitchell, Ky., figured to be a natural fit in Michigan's new pro-style offense.
Michigan has received four verbal commitments from members of next year's senior class --- two offensive linemen, and two linebackers.
