ANN ARBOR --- Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs is out for Saturday's game against Purdue with a knee injury. Kovacs, a Clay graduate, is believed to have suffered the injury in practice last week. He is questionable for next week's game at Iowa.

This will be the first game the junior Kovacs has missed in his career. The Clay graduate ranks third on the team with 42 tackles.

Expected to start in place of Kovacs is Troy Woolfolk, who will move from cornerback. Woolfolk's spot will be manned by freshman Blake Countess.
