Michigan cornerback Countess tears ACL

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan announced today that cornerback Blake Countess will miss the remainder of the 2012 season after tearing an ACL. Countess sustained the injury during the first quarter of Saturday's 41-14 loss to Alabama.

A Michigan spokesperson confirmed earlier reports of Countess' injury via email.

In 12 games in 2011, Countess started six games, and had 44 tackles, including 30 solo tackles
